Inactivated Split Influenza Vaccine

Product Description

It is the indicated active immunization for prevention of diseases caused by three kinds of influenza virus recommended by WHO contained in the vaccine. It is prepared as per WHO Guide every year.

Vaccinated Population: Children at six months of age or older, the adult and the aged
Specs: 0.25ml or 0.5ml, vial or pre-filled syringe
Dosage Form: Liquid for intramuscular Injection

Validity Period: 12 months
Storage: 2- 8° C. Do not freeze. Protect from light.
Package: 1 dose/ pack, pre-filled syringe or vial
Immunization Schedule: Once per year
Administration and dosage:
Intramuscular injection preferably in the region of the deltoid muscle of the upper arm
For children from 6 to 36 months -- two doses with the interval of 4 weeks, 0.25 ml/ dose
For adults and children above 36 months -- one dose only, 0.5 ml/ dose

Adverse reactions
The adverse effects are rare and mild.
Local reaction: Redness, pain, nodule, swell
System reaction: Fever, dizziness, headache, shivering, weak, sweating, myalgia, arthralgia, pruritusl, rash
Most of the reactions can be self-recovered within 24 hours without any treatment.

Expectant treatment should be taken immediately if anaphylaxis occurs.
Contraindications
The vaccine is contraindicated for the following people:
Patients with a fever, acute illness, and cold
Patients suffering with acute paroxysmal of chronic diseases
Patients who are allergic to any components in the vaccine, especial the ovalbumin.
Patients suffering with Guillain-Barre Syndrome
Precautions
Shake before use.
Do not use in the case that there is any crack in the syringe/vial, the vaccine is degenerative, or there is big masses that can not be dispersed by shaking.

As with all injectable vaccines, appropriate medical treatment and supervision should always be readily available in case of a rare anaphylactic event following the administration of the vaccine.
Don't administer intravascularly.

Pregnant women and nursing mothers must take the vaccine carefully.
Drug interaction: It can be used in combination with other vaccines, only if inoculating different parts of body. Immune system response will be degraded by immunosuppressors; Patients undergoing other treatments in progress should consult their doctors to avoid adverse drug interactions.
